There’s a code of honor amongst hockey goons (or whatever they’re calling them nowadays) surrounding challenging a guy and actually squaring off before anyone throws a punch.  Sidney Crosby apparently doesn’t subscribe to this, as he just pulls the shirt over this guy’s head and starts throwing punches with no warning.  Things like this happen when your team is sinking the way the Penguins are.

On one hand, I can see where you could consider this a bitch move.  Sid just completely “pearl harbors” his opponent, for lack of a more awesome term.  On the other hand, while the NHL is desperately trying to turn the league into a fluffy, non threatening scorefest, more like couples figure skating…it’s still professional hockey.  Quit whining and don’t think a pretty boy like Crosby can’t start some shit.
