Your boy Terrelle Pryor threw 4 TDs in his first NCAA start on Saturday.  Everyone in Jeannette was out firing their uzis in the air in celebration.  Trust me on this.

I'm not sure if Uncle Crappy owns an uzi, or any other type of sub-machine gun, but if he did, he would probably be doing the same thing.

  1. T-Ray Says:

This kid is a phenom. He should start for the Buckeyes the rest of the year. I have had the pleasure of watching him play for his whole high school and even some of his junior high career. You could see when he was in 8th grade he was special. I just hope he stays healthy and out of trouble.

I was impressed on Saturday. We knew he could run, but he managed the passing game well too, actually hanging in the pocket and waiting for the play to develop — and that’s something that took Troy Smith about a season and a half to learn. And he appears to have unlimited arm strength.

A couple nits to pick: His deep passes tended to be late — Brian Hartline had to wait on his first TD catch of the day. And there were a couple of freshman-type mistakes — taking a third-down sack that took the offense out of field goal range and some clock management stuff. That stuff is fairly easy to fix.

I didn’t see a whole lot of downside on Saturday. Granted, better defenses are on the way, but Pryor didn’t exactly look rattled against USC either. I’m with T-Ray — let’s keep him on the field as much as possible and see what happens.

BTW — I’m currently unarmed, but I know how to load and shoot tanks. If I had one handy on Saturday…
